Hi im Runnimg a p4 3.6mhz chip with 2mb cache Asus P5ND2-Sli Deluxe M/Board 2+512mhz corsair twinx xms2 5400 675mhz ram Artic cooling freezer 7 fan 550w PSU 6600gt Graphics card pci-e When i boot my computer it is showing up as a 2.8ghz chip and the ram was showing as 400mhz, when i use the Ai Booster program i got the ram running at the right speed but not the chip it shows up 2800.00mhz when i clock it to 3500.00 it stays for a few minutes then go's back to a 2800.00mhz The system temp is 42c the fan speed is 2518 fsb 1000 1.39volts and the cpu temp is 60-69c i know this it hot when i put it to 3500.00mhz it go's to about 70 odd then go's back to 2800.00 so why is my chip running at 2.8 when it is a 3.6 chip i should not need to clock it for this speed??????? Plz HELP
Try downloading & using cpu-z http://www.cpuid.org/cpuz.php to find out exactly what cpu you are using, & P4's tend to run hot
