Overclocking: Step By Step

    This is a general tutoial that will help you overclock almost any system. Make sure (if you're not familiar with oveclocking) that you've got your motherboard's manual handy, and have at it:

    A usefull guide but I would just like to add that over clocking has its advantages but it can cause hardware damage if not monitored and implemented correctly and will void any warranty on a new machine

    Thanks to the both of you and I agree with you; overclocking can be dangerous. I personally don't overclock any of my systems I build. Recently, I've received a few PM's on the subject so I decided to give a little guide with that regard.

    So yeah, not recommended but if properly done a user can maximize the use of their system without doing a complete upgrade.
