Hey i need help overclocking my CPU. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor. GeForce 8600 video card. and G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory. and ABIT IN9 32X-MAX LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard. So i need some help with overclocking. If anyone can give me a link or some help right from you. A tutorial or results of other people that have overclocked this processor that would be great. THX

Do you have a after market cooler? Dont even bother over clocking if you dont have one. Also, if you're experiencing lag then I would suggest getting a new video card because a 8600 isn't really that good. A 8800GT is more like it. A C2D at 2.66Ghz is pretty fast, so I doubt that if you're seeing lag then thats the reason why. I would strongly suggest that its you gfx card.

Well we do have a thread for this...

Anyway go into your BIOS and change the FSB speed. The increases in that increases the clock speed on your processor.
