Hey guys. I finally found a great solution to the overscan problem when converting avi to dvds. Not only is it great for fan subbed avi files but it also helps to sharpen the image it seems. I use FitCD and TMPGEnc to do it. First i open fit cd and select my source file. Then i make sure my destination is set to the proper format of dvd720 and then just below is an over scan filter. I make sure it is set to 2. then right next to it are resolution values to slightly shrink the video about 5% which is what most tv sets overscann at. Then in TMPGEnc i just adjust the image size to the values obtained from FitCD and presto.I have tested on my 65" HD DLP tv, a 32" tv, 17" and 13" all with great results. I came home to see my bro watching one of the dvds i made and without knowing it was one i was like wow bleach in on in the afternnon. jsut because it look unbeleiveable clear. Sorry for the bad english and grammar but i will update with the pictures for those who need or just head to here http://forum.videohelp.com they have lots of info on the topic in the subtitle forum
