two times now I have burned a disk for a movie called simply P.S. and each time I try to play it my dvd player struggles with it for a while and then says that the disk must be damaged or dirty. It doesn't stop while burning or decrypting.
    Anyone have any ideas???

Brand of media, speed, and type (+R or -R)?
Brand and Model of DVD burner?
    Software used?
    Speed at which you burned?

    burner is a digital max
I used Anydvd 5.9 and dvd shrink 3.2
I'm not sure of the speed I think it was 16 X

Imation disks are not of high quality. Best are Taiyo Yuden and Made in Japan labeled Fuji and Sony disks, as well as Verbatim.

If you're burning at 16X, you're burning too fast for a quality burn. Slow your burn speed to 1/2 the rated speed of the media or even slower for really crappy media.

Try burning the Imation (+R 16X) at 8X or 4X and see if that solves the problem.

Good quality media can be had for 30 cents or so per disk.
