My p4 as been running at 3.00 ghz as that is the speed of the processor i built the machine my self and as been fine but recentley when i boot it the speed says its set to 1.50ghz

I looked in cmos and highest it lets me change it to is 1.89ghz and thats no where near the 3.0. It should auto detetct the speed as that option as always been locked to change the speed.

I spoke to computer shop where i got parts from last year he said check jummpers on the board the only ones i can find are the cmos reset and bios write protect. I also rested it and updated the bios but it still runs at 1.50 or 1.89 if i change it.

abit sg72 mb but on the site all the bios in frequencey/ voltage control is displayed completely differentley.

    p4 3.0 ghz

earlier when a turned it on it had changed to the correct speed automaticly like it should be doing but when a shut down and turned on again now its back to 1.50

    100*15 1.50ghz or somat

but earlier staed 200 *15 3ghz or soamt

in your bios under frequency/voltage control, what is the cpu clock ratio & cpu frequency?? ratio might be 30 or 22.5 if cpu frequency is 100 or 133.

This is the options and default settings.

    Clock control by auto
    Cpu frquencey 200
    Dram ratio spd
    async asp,pci,src, disabled

if you change clock comtrol by user you can change
    cpu frequencey to 253
    dram ratio to 1:1, 3:4, 3:5, 1:2, SPd
    async asp,pci,src, enabeld or dissbaled

no option for cpu clock ratio

change clock control from auto to manual or to a number like 30 or 22.5. see if cpu frequency changes to 100 or 133. i had downloaded your manual & that is what it shows.
