Anyone know of one tool to convert PAL DVD to NTSC DVD? I use Nero and it works great for most things - but my workaround for this so far has been: 1) Use ISO buster and extract VOB's to a folder 2) Use Nero Express to re-burn VOB's to a new DVD with option output to NTSC I of course lose all the menu's and such and have to do 2 steps - anyone else know of an easier way?
i just did this last week and had some trouble. If I remember correctly i ripped all files to (from the dvd) with decryptor and then converted with nero to a dvd. Seriously took forever but came out excellent.
Funny you mentioned Decryptor - someone else pointed out I could use that and burn straight to ISO then burn - w/o using Nero.
Well, I never figured out out to switch from pal to ntsc with decryptor. I ripped the entire file and switched regions with nero.
Honestly, I didnt need to try it. But I would assume if you use file mode in decryptor and have all items highlighted there shouldnt be a problem
What I couldn't find in DVDDecrypter though was a setting to change it to NTSC - or does it do that automatically if I have my region set correctly?
I've done it by going into Nero Vision to create a DVD movie. There is an option to import so I import from the PAL DVD. There it rips it to it's own digital format on the hd. After that, treat it like any other video file you want to make a DVD out of. But you lose all the menues, though. Haven't tried it with movies requiring subtitles yet, though.
