I live in the UK. I have a dvd which is 'Region 0 PAL encoded'. I was going to burn a copy with Shrink,set to Region free, and send it to a friend in the US. Will his standalone be able to read it? Thanks.
Most likely not. 95 percent of DVD players sold in the USA will only play NTSC. There are some that are region-free and capable of playing PAL or NTSC. http://www.cyberhome.com/products.asp?Product=300
