I have a DVD recorded in the PAL format. How can I convert it into NTSC so I can watch it on my TV? I read a thread about using a program called ConvertXtoDVD but seemed to convert AVI files not whole DVDs. The file directories on my DVD are the standard video_ts and audio_ts. I have been making and backing up my DVDs for a while now without too many problems, but this is kicking my butt. Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for the help, rd. I put the PAL into one end of ConvertXtoDVD and it came out the other as NTSC. Very simple and it didn't look like I had lost any clarity in the process. One more question though. Is there any way you know of to preserve the original menu structure. They offer a bunch of templates but I would have preferred to keep the original. Still, I am very satisfied. Thanks again.

I do not think that this or any other conversion software will let you convert full DVD from one format to other.
They convert main feature and rest, like menus, you have to create new.
Some let you to import your background picture, so if a menu is a static one, you can retrieve it with for example VobBlanker, or take a snapshot with software player.
If it is a motion menu, than it gets more complicated.
In any case you loose all navigation buttons.
