I've been looking into DVD recorder / VCR combos, and this one looks like a popular choice. Under $300, would this be the best standalone option to convert VHS to DVD?
no. i bought the dmr-es30v and it won't dub vhs (prerecorded movies) to dvd blanks. gets media (vhs) copy protected error message. it advertizes that you can back up your old vhs tapes to dvd - but you can't. at least i couldn't. if you've found a go-round let me know.
