I recently installed a new Panasonic DMR-EX77 and it works fine so far. However, I also have an older Panasonic video machine that I use sometimes, mainly to record TV shows for friends. My problem is that, if I connect both machines up according to the instructions, that is with the DVD machine feeding into the video machine and that machine into the TV set, both machines then come up on AV3 on the TV set. I like to have the DVD recorder, which I use a lot, on AV1 for convenience. Can anyone suggest how I might connect both recorders but with the DVD on AV1 and the video on AV3? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks and regards.
Can I pick your brains about setting up a Panasonic EX77. I've plugged into the right places with TV and Sky box. I can play a dvd but cannot set up the thing to do anything else. My menu keeps moving across the screen until it disappears then reappears but cannot see the whole menu bar. Did you get any of these problems? Sue
Hello, Sue No I had no such problems setting mine up. It went "according to the book", although I must say the book itself was almost incomprehensible in places. Panasonic have a habit of telling you how to do things but not explaining what it is you're doing! (You DID get an instruction manual with it?) Your menus moving across the screen and disappearing indicate a fault in the machine itself. I suggest you discuss this with the vendor. Really sorry I can't be more helpful. Hugh
Thanks for a speedy reply. Have now read war and peace (well it felt like it!) and now have the machine working. Managed to record over xmas and download from HDD Video camera. Panic over. Thanks again Hugh. Happy New Year! Sue
You're welcome, Sue! Glad you're in business with the machine. It really is a nice recorder once you get used to it. If you can read gobbledegook. And a happy new year to you too! Hugh
