I've looked around for a quite a while, and I'm really surprised that I haven't found a thread concerning Panasonic DVD recorders' progressive inability to read DVD's, so I opened a thread. Can someone tell me why brand new DVD's and one's I've just recorded (with much difficulty) are "incompatible", and prompt "unsupported" and "check the disc" messages? Pre-recorded discs play with no problems, however. If you can please help me figure this out, or perhaps show me a thread dealing with this problem I'd appreciate it immensely. Both machines worked well at one time, but right now they're useless. -Thanks.
You may have better results posting in a more appropriate forum. Request for thread to be teleported. -Mike
hello not sure that is a bit of sarcasim there or not!! some dvd players dont like certain types of disk's,what type of disk's do you use, what speed? etc etc you need to state these things for anyone to be of any help to you cheers!!
thread teleported from totally irrelevent forum. i takr it the 'E20' is the DMR-ES20, if so i have this recorder, the DMR-ES20D anyway. haven't tried any backed up DVD's on it yet, for my backups i use a combination of DVD-R and DVD+R (these are 'booktyped' to 'DVD-ROM' format). i only use top-notch -R and +R media also... give us more to go on and we might be able to help. plus i'll try a couple of my backups on the recorder in the meantime.. plus there's some firmware info here for the DMR-ES20D - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/322961
I'll take that as sarcasm. But can't you see how much help it has done? You already have two people helping you. -Mike
