Jerry, new to this. i got this insatlled from my friend. i dont get the indian channels while my fiend get them. i did all the scanning and other stuff but those channels dont even show up. can you help me with what to do.
Can't tell from the information you gave, but my guess is that the 2 of you are pointed at 2 different sats. Check your setup and see if its the same as his. Just a few degrees off on the dish alignment will give to different channels than he has. Jerry
Jerry, Let me explain this better. I have the dish set up by the company and when I go to sysinfo on the remote it shows 110 121 119. Now when I got the pansat set up by my friend he uploaded the bin files and everything from his sd card. Once we select any channel it shows what dish it is using on the bottom, I don’t get any channels that say dish 121 but get the channels that say 110 or 119. I deleted all the channels in dish 121 and did a satellite scan but the channels that I want don’t even show up in the list including ESPN. I have scanned birds 110 & 119 also and they don’t show those channels as well. Both 110 & 119 have 11250 freq but 121 has 10750 or something like that, I changed that also to 11250 and scanned but could not get the channels listed. Can you give some suggestions to fix this
That last post may explain you problem. The company has you set up with 1 dish antenna and 3 sats off of it. If this is correct, then I think your 3 LNB setup is not compatible with the FTA receivers. Check this link out at the end of my post. It shows several dish setups, some that work and some that don't. If yours is one of the 3 LNB setups shown, thats your problem. Jerry, Did go to that site. Here is more information. I do have a DP34 switch with three connections( but use only two). The first port says dual feed 110, second port is feed 121 and third is feed 119. When i go to the anetenna setup do these ports have to match or it doesnt matter because of the DP34 switch. My superdish says it is pointed at 121 W.L. I need to get the 121 right to get the channels that I am looking for. Any suggestions.
Zingger, Ok- I found a good explaination of the DP34 at this link. It shows how to configure the DP34 ports. It should help you out. This site Al7bar is the sister site to Future-fta. Again you may have to register to get the info but its still free. http://www.al7bar.tk/Forums/showthread.php?t=25983 Jerry
Jerry, In my case i need to match 1 to 110, 2 to 121 and 3 to 119 based on the sysinfo from my dishnetwork. The question is do I change the frequency for the 121 to 11250 similar to 110 & 119 or leave 10750 which is currently there. Coming to TP there are around 86 numbers in the 121 bird. Can you delete the exisiting one and do a blind scan or you have to leave all the current ones.
I don't run the 121 bird or that switch so I'm not sure what to tell you on that. I'll try to research it tonight at home. As to the channels already in there on 121, once you get the switch setup properly, I would delete them all and start a new sat scan. It should pick up all TP's and channels. This is all just from what I read not direct hands on with that system. I wish I had a way to try every setup out there but its not possible. All I can do is try to find the answers on one of the other forums. Jerry
Jerry, I did change the port numbers in my pansat antenna setup to match my DP34 switch with 1 for 110, 2 for 121 and 3 for 119. Did a blind scan for 121 and now I get some of the channels but not all of them. Do you think I should change the freq in 121 to 11250 also and do a scan again because I left the freq in 121 to 10750 as it was before. Do you think i should do a satellite scan for all the 3 because I still dont even get ESPN. Thanks for all the help. I am learning with your help. If you dont mind what system do you have.
My sat system is what they call the poor man's dish like they show in that first link I gave you. I get 110 and 119 off an old DTV 18 inch dish. Close to 500 channels. My first receiver was a Pansat 2700 but I gave that to my daughter/son-in-law and now run a Viewsat platinum. Both good receivers. You can try changing the TP freq and see what happens. Just remember the original settings in case you need to go back. I think you can enter missing TP's also and just scan each TP. This link below shows everything on 121 by channel name, sid and TP. If you want to check 110 and 119 just change the 121 to the number sat you want. Example--change dish121 at the end to dish110. http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/dish121.html Jerry
Jerry, when I enter a tp, does the number have to match what is there on the website or if the frequency matches that is good enough to get the channels listed for that TP. On the list below the freq, there is this FEC 3/4 or FEC 5/6 and so forth. I can ignore this right.
