I'm getting ready to edit a video for a client who is also working with another editor on the other side of the US from me. This editor has sent my client some videos that don't play in a DVD player and will only give him audio on his computer. The editor told him he needs to "parce the video" and "the codec used to parce the HD is: dvcpro hd 720p 24fps." I've never heard the term "parce" before. Can anyone explain to me what this means? Thanks!
"parce the video" perhaps a misspelling of "parse"? http://cobweb.ecn.purdue.edu/~ace/parse/parsing.html Then again it may just be a reference to the required codec.
