partitiong a hard disk

    hi, my friend had a vista beta cd and he gave it to me to try. im already on windows xp home edition. i only have one hard disk and have a basic system or file type. i want to use vista aslwell as xp on 1 hard drive and no its possible but how do i go about it
    i have 160 gig and have only 50gig free space left. isit still possible to have a prtion with vist os? how do i make this partion if possible? do i just insert the cd and on installation make a new logical drive? please could some 1 help me thank you.

    well, you run the os cd....then go through this whole process of all kinds of information......and then yeah during the process your gonna get to this window showing information about drive, saying if you want delete this partition, create a new partition, and stuff like that, if you tried installing a windows b4, you'll know what i mean, too much to say, but if you want to understand it a little more, ill post a well descriptive instruction later
