Password login problem windows xp

I have to look at my sisters laptop tomorrow. Her son put a password on it and now has forgotten it. I know a fresh install of windows will fix it but I am wondering if there is away to bypass it or getit off all together.

So she starts the laptop and it goes to a windows login, thats as far as I coud get.
