Password-protecting certain files and folders in Windows XP

    Is there a way to protect certain files and folders, especially folders from other users?

    Yes, make sure your file system is NTFS then remove the read permissions for the files and folders from any other account except yours (Right click on file, properties, security tab). This will work as long as the other users are not members of the administrators group.

    my file system is fat32, is there another way?
