Hi, I have a movie in 4 parts (avi type) and I'd like to paste them all to get one file. What program can I use for that? Thanks
I use Avidemux : Open Avidemux; load the first part of the video.Make sure that vide and audio are set to "Copy"-this way no re-encoding is done. Next, append part 2: Then part 3, 4. However, all 4 parts need to have the same resolution. If the video contains VBR audio, it will ask if you want to create a Time Map to keep audio/video in sync. Say yes. VirtualDub works similar, you have to set audio/video to "Direct Stream Copy". I don't know if VirtualDub can do VBR audio though. If the source videos are not the same resolution, then you would need to "resize" / "add border" / "crop" each stream to the same resolution first. When done appending all the parts, go to "File"->Save Here's a guide for VirtualDub: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/virtualdub_join_avi.cfm
