Ok, i'm not stupid with this by any means...but I really have a problem witn my xbox, it doesn't read real games. I bought Flatout awhile ago (and brought it back due to it not working), what it did was lock up during a profile creation. It had the problem after I re-did the harddrive because I played with some files I shouldn't have. I used the XboxHDM and fixed it, but it didn't read some of my games anymore. Someone suggested that I patch the MS Dash with the newest update (found in Slayers and other programs). Just to make sure (I dont want to have to re-do the xbox again...), do I have to have the backup of my MS Dash loaded for the patch to work? because last time I patched it I still had EvoX on and it gave me like error 21 or something (I dont remember which one). But will patching the dashboard fix my problem?

I don't know why updating your dash will help your Xbox read Xbox games better. Can you read backup games fine? You don't have to update it w/ slayers, you can just update it on XBL.

It's probably just a problem w/ your Xbox drive's laser. What drive do you have in your Xbox?

I dont know either, but some games off the hard drive dont even work! Do I actually need an account to update through Xbox Live? I dont have my account anymore. I have a Samsung drive. Its almost 2 years old if you want that too.

Anyone have a clue? Why games on cd and hard drive don't work? Is it a problem accessing a file in C or E? If no one knows that...does anyone know how much I can sell an xbox without a hard drive for? :p
