I have backed up 12 of my games and 4 work. I think the rest of them need a patch.

Is there a way that I can tell before I burn and waste a dvd+r if it needs it or not.

If you add it to your harddrive do you still need a patch? If so, can I add to my harddrive and if it needs one put it in and when I finally get it working from my HDD it is ready to Burn. Is this correct?

    Is there an easier way?

The easiest way is to rip it to the xbox hard drive and try it out; if it boots and returns to the dashboard then it needs to be patched. Once you patch it, its ready to burn fine, but make sure it works on your hard drive first so you dont waste any dvd's.

flash your modchip bios to D.6 or the new X2 bios and it will do all that for you... also moving up to pxHDD loader 1.1a is a big improvement as well

When you say it will do all of that for me. Do you mean I want have to patch my DVD+r's or I want have to patch games in the HDD.
