patches for xbox games

    I have several games that transferred ok to my xbox hd but they don't play. what can i do to fix them? is there a site for patches or is there certain software that i need to transfer the games to my xbox hd?

    sounds like you just need to patch the xbe's, you can do this with craxtion.

    i have craxtion but how do i patch it? do i just patch the *.xbedefault file

    yeah just grab the default.xbe using the patcher in the tools menu and patch it, it will detect whether it needs patching or not.

    If you are using ISOCraxtion v3.1 I beleive it will patch the .xbe files automatically for the games that need to be patched. I was using ISOCraxtion v2.1 before and you had to click on tools then patch .xbe before you created the .iso but with the newer version that has automatically been added.

    yes that is correct if you are making an ISO with craxtion. but he has the games on his xbox HDD so he'll just need to transfer the xbe's over and patch them manually thru the tools menu.

    Or you could just use newer bios that auto patch. m7 0r 4979 or 4980 do it.

    I keep seeing say "patch" the game. It is rare that you need to patch a game. Upgrading the BIOS to a recent version will do the trick without messing around with those patches.

    where do you get 4980 your site has 4977???and where do you get he craxtion program??

    you could first try and search google for these to download.. or try a p2p like emule or bittorrent or dc++ etc etc...

    I wonder how many people ran for google like i did to try and figure out what the hell "bob's your uncle" actually meant!! hehe, being global is weird sometimes.
