Patching, rebuilding games, how do you do it? [Guide]

Hi ft2005. I downloaded hulk UD and ive been unsuccessfull in getting it to run on my PS2. I tried burning it onto disc and it didnt work. I tried following various guides on rebuilding it but it still doesnt work. Lots of people have had no probs with it. Ive given up on it now unless anyone has new info on it?

 

Yeah i got hulk ud and had no probs (ps2rip on emule is the way to go). But I have a mod chip so that could help to explain my lack of troubles. If you are using a decent mod chip you shouldnt have any probs but i cant speak for hdloader or swap magic. Anyway hope you get it to work cos im telling you man this game is awesome.

 

whats the best mod chip to get? ive got a slimline PS2. I have had very few problems with swap magic but im getting lazy and just want to be able to boot my games directly without the need for swapping discs. Any advice will be greatly appreciated???

 

hulk worked, did it at 4x speed on Riteck DVD-R using dvd-decrypter... althought its kinda slow at loading, and it doesnt load sometimes, but i put a lightweight peice of cloth on top of the cd (using thoes lil bits on my slimline so my flip is open) but yea i did that and it worked... i also had to do that to the game Mafia... i dont think it harsmt he ps2, all its doing is making the cd run a bit slower cause its to fast the laser is not catching it on time...

PS: i didnt have to rebulid the game.. i downloaded it at 1.55GB's opened it and the iso was 4.suthinGB, extracted it, became 3.suthinGBs, burnt it and i think it went up to 4.suthin again but yea.. it works!

need it to play online.. i need the PAL one but if you got NTSC its fine, i can convert the iso easy to USA...

I get an error saying ASPI Manager loading failed
this is not supposed to happen right?

 

make sure you have working ASPI layers installed,but more importantly check this :>

my comp/local disk/windows/repair....look for autoexec.nt

copy and paste it here

my comp/local disk/windows/system32 folder

 

I allready have that file in there it just said overwrite existing file...

 

I think there is a .dll file that fixes that error message. I'm not sure what it is off the top of my head but i'll research it and let you know something.

 

wnaspi32.dll Go type that in on yahoo and you should get a page where you can download it. Download it to somewhere and go to MyComputer>LocalDisk>Windows>system32 and drag it into there. See if that works

Ok I have a question. I backed up Ultimate Spider Man. It works on my room mate's playstation, he has a slimline. Although it will not work on mine, I have a regular ps2. Any other game we've done that works on his works on mine. But this one for some reason doesn't. It loads to a black screen is it. I have tried putting it in normal mode, ntsc, and pal but nothing works. Any ideas??

 

hmm maybe its your chip i dont know or what do you use and what does you r mate use chip or swap card?

 

We both use swap disc. Same kind, same version. It doesnt even work if i use his swap disc so i know its not that. It makes absolutely no sense to me lol

Hey. It's me again. Anyone have any information on backing up Mercenaries?? It will burn and even begin to load up, but freezes before it gets to the introductory screen. Need some help if someone can give it to me. Thanx!
