Ok have you followed the guide? You have to make the iml file, steps 1-5 tell you how to get/make the iml file :) What game is it?

    Hey ft2005
I own a chipped ps2, I also have a autistic sister that doesnt understand that those great games actually come on those shiny frisbee like things. When (not if when) they get scratched i just search for ps2rip and then the name of the game in emule. I have never been duped by them (except one time when i forgot to check the language but hey not their fault) and have never had a problem burning one of theyre backups.

Not sure if i will need to revoke this but I only ever do this for games that I already own (i know i should make multiple backups but good disks aint cheep as you can prob all agree with) as i honestly think if a game is good enough they deserve my money.

Also i wasnt aware that there was a problem with chaos theory, i used dycripter and it worked no probs, has there been an update that fixed some problem or something?

Lastly Im planning on getting total overdose on the ps2 when its released in australia, ive heard its a punk to backup. What do i look for to know if a game needs patching\rebuilding besides making a coaster?

    Thanks

If its over 4.37gb than it will need to be rebuilt to fit DVD-5.

What chip do you have in your ps2??

Sadly enough I cannot answer that question. I bought my ps2 from a pawn shop pre chipped (pretty sure its ilegal but im not complaining) so im not too sure. Ive got another thread here where i was trying to work out what it was but im kind of over it lol, seems to work great for all ps2 rips.

Sup peeps, i downloaded "charlie and the chocolate factory for PS2 (full DVD PAL) from "http://www.torrent'p'.com/"... aint i allowed to post this? i wouldn't no...anyways... the torrent was 888MB... once finished, opened and extracted the file inside was an ISO with the size of *4,548,032*... when rebulit, it shrank down to *1.17GB*

    Now someone stated:

Is that a possible working methode? if anyone else has any ideas they are all welcome... please dont ask me about my DVD media or the speeds im doing them at cause i know thats not the problem...

but the funny thing is, when i load it with swapmagic 3.6, if i press X it takes me back to the menu screen where it has the memory card and "reading disc" then the red screen comes saying insert ps2 disc"... if i press special boot [], it loads but wont go no further then a black screen...!

i have about 5cds on waste now.. since i started this backup business... i no its probably nothing compared to most of you here, but... its stressfull that you can't get it right the first time all the time!

Hey I really need some help. I've read quite a bit of what is on this forum and I have tried NUMEROUS things. I can't get anything to work. Everything I do is successful, I just can't get the disc to play. I am using Swapdisc and it works on a few other games I've burnt, but this particular game , Fantastic 4, is giving me a problem. I have tried a few differnt techiniques and none of them have been successful. If someone could give me a step by step guide I would appreciate it. Even if you need to email it to me let me know and I'll post my email address. I have alot of programs like dvd decrypter, nero, cddvdgen, iso buster, iso builder, and a few more. The "patching" thing confuses me. I understand how to use these i think. But obviously I'm doing something wrong. I'm just not sure what. Thanx for helping

These are instructions given by another member (a.k.a Digital9x) that worked for me for Fantastic 4.

Hi Everyone. I really would appreciate anyones advice on getting incredible hulk ultimate destruction to work on my slimline ps2 w\ swapmagic 3.6. ive followed all the guides including extracting the files with IsoBuster into a folder and burning them with nero UDF/ISO. i then tried rebuilding the disc with CDVDGEN, followed the guide to the letter, burned it and again no luck. im booting up my swap magic disc then putting the game in and all im getting is a blank screen. ive burned loads of games, some are rebuilt others arent and all have worked. This one has me stumped. Any Suggestions?

Thank you ft2005. Ill try it and let you know how it turns out. However, what about other games that are like this one? is this a one of a kind game that is just really hard to do? Or are there alot of other ones out there just like it?? Are there patches for those games as well, or will the regular method work on those? Again thanx for the help. I appreciate it

OKAY Alien13 & hursty help me out on this please...its for Dusty271.

if you look up swapmagicfix.com you will fixes for games and so on... also always read fourms such as this that contain information on the games before you back them up... i've started to do that cause i have wasted to many DVD-Rs doing wasteless attempts when all i had to do was look around n read a lil!

for me, Some games require re-buliding, some need minor adjustments, some need fixes or boot up cd's and some need patchs, but theres also the chance that you might not need to do anything but back it up straight away... especially when it comes down to if you downloaded it or not cause sometimes they are done for you...

but like i said others have had the problems and managed to fix it, and we can follow on from them rather then trying to figure it out ourselfs! all we can do is hope the methode works for us too! otherwise you can make wallpaper designs in your house with all the wasted dvd's lol

    peace.

Hey naruto007, I have a chipped ps2 and out of about 75 ps2 games, dvd movies and download backups I have made one coaster which im pretty sure was my fault anyway. dvd decrypter is the greatest invention by man (ok slight exageration but its damn good compared to what options you had when the ps2 first came out) and with good enough chip you will not have any problems. Sorry i cant reffer you to a good chip (reffer to my last post) but im sure there is over 100 posts here that could help with that.
