Hey everyone! I'm hoping for a bit of quick advice here. I made a backup of an xbox 1 game that boots fine in my xbox but I can't get it to work in my 360!

It recognized the xbox 1 game, it even shows the Original Xbox logo when I try and boot it up. The game exits and gives me error code (X:5829 B:1884). I'm updated with the backwards compatability list and the game is on there.

I've done some searching on here and on google and I cant seem to find a decent answer. I don't need help ripping games, and I use good brand DVDs and burn slow. How can I burn the original xbox ISO to play on the 360?

    Thanks!

Note: If the xbox 1 game u r converting is less then 4.5gb then its a single layer game, so use this procedure 1 and convert it to play on xbox 360. If the xbox 1 game u have is greater then 4.5gb, then its a dual layer game, eg:halo 2 etc... if its a dual layer game follow procedure 2:
    PROCEDURE 1:
    Softwares needed:
1.XDVDMulleterSS,PFI,DMI files and Video Partition(SS file is in Security Sector folder, DMI and PFI are in Stealth folder) - Download it frm here:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JRZ81DCR
    2.ISOBUSTER - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QXJB9MZF
    3.Alcohol 100% - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3LOB2799

Step 1: More or less the process needs approximatly 15GB of free HDD space Now run Run XDVDMulleter ( use one that I provided ) select 'View ISO details' and click 'next'. From 'Load ISO Folder', browse and load the XBOX.iso ( I will use Star Wars KotOR II.iso ) After you load XBOX.iso it should look like this
    [IMG]

Step 2 :Now you insert video partition from folder ( there are 3 partitions in folder try every one of them ) that you downloaded from link tht i posted above
    [IMG]

Step 3:After you are done with inserting video ( boxes should be checked [1] on mulleter as is show on pic ) insert SS PFI and DMI files into .iso
    [IMG]
Step 4: After you are done inserting all dose files mulleter should be like this
    [IMG]
Step 5iXtreme box its not checked) Click next to go back to the main menu, select 'Build/Rebuild files in ISO' and click 'next', select and load the XBOX.iso as before, click 'next' and choose 'Create a DVD9 ISO with zero padding (Xtreme compatible + Video)',
    [IMG]
Step 6:'next' and XDVDMulleter will check if the XBE is valid, click 'next' until you get to 'Make ISO' and click on it. You don't need at this time to load the ss.bin, dmi.bin or pfi.bin files After XDVDMulleter has finished, you should have another .iso (in my case its Star Wars_ KotOR II_mulleted.iso )open 'My Computer' and right click on the virtual drive created by Alcohol 100% to mount the XBOX_Mulleted.iso
    [IMG]
Step 7:Run IsoBuster and select the virtual drive Click 'Options' and then 'Communication', a new window will pop up, click on 'Read Settings' and set everything to 1 and click 'OK'
Step 8:Right click on the main folder, on the left window, and select 'Extract DVD <Image>', then click 'User Data (*.tao,*.iso)'

Step 9:Name the file and use .iso as extension, Don't press 'Save' yet From 'My Computer' right click on the virtual drive and mount the XBOX.iso, (Star Wars KotOR II.iso)

Step 10:eek:nce it has loaded it, go back to IsoBuster and click 'Save'. After a while IsoBuster will report an error. Just select 'Replace with dummy data' and 'Always apply selection', click 'Selection'
Step 11: When IsoBuster has finished, it will ask you to delete some files, (Choose 'No')and to save the .cue file. (you don't need it) After IsoBuster is finished you can delete XBOX.iso and XBOX_mulleted.iso DON?T DELETE .iso THAT YOU MADE WITH IsoBuster.iso Now let's run again XDVDMulleter and select 'Build/Rebuild files in ISO' click 'next' and load from 'Load ISO Folder' the IsoBuster.iso (Star Wars KotOR II IsoBuster.iso) in the 'Use Current Folder', 'next' and select 'Create a cloned DVD9 ISO (Xtreme compatible if the source is good)'

Step 12:click 'Yes' when prompted. In the next window load the ss.bin file from your folder and click 'next', so for the dmi.bin and the pfi.bin files, click 'next' and press on 'Make ISO'. When it's all done, check with XDVDMulleter the .iso to see, that it has become an iXtreme compatible image. Now just burn it as x360 game with CloneCD or IMGBurn and play Note: This works 100%
    [IMG]

    PROCEDURE 2:
Step 1: You will get xbox1gamename.iso file, i assume tht it is a xbox 1 game.
Step 2: Now create .dvd file for the .iso file you have,To create .dvd file, Open Notepad and type:
    Layerbreak=1913760
    xbox1gamename.ISO
Replace "xbox1gamename.iso" text in the notepad with the name of the .iso file (xbox1gamename.iso, eg: if u hav halo2.iso file then put halo2.iso in the notepad also). After typing this. Save the notepad as xbox1gamename.dvd near the location of xbox1gamename.iso, for eg:halo2.iso and halo2.dvd
Step 3:Follow the same procedure as you write normal xbox 360 game and write it.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the guide! The iso was 4.3G so I went ahead with procedure 1. I got the game to boot up but it's been stuck at the first loading screen for like 10 minutes =(.

I'll try burning it again and see if it helps at all.

Tried burning again and same problem :(. It all checked out in mulleter, and I followed the directions perfectly.

Any idea what it might be?

The only other thing I can think of would be a bad ISO.. Everything looked fine in xdvdmulleter though so I'm not sure. I burned it a few times using Imgburn and dvd decrypter and still no luck!

Could be a bad iso but there are a few games that do freeze and the only way around it is to get the original disk.

Well the game is Conker Live and Reloaded. I've even read on another forum that someone had it working using a very similar way to what you described =/

Are there ways to detect a bad iso? Like I said, it worked flawless while I was converting it with your guide.

Coincidentally I am trying to get exactly the same game "Conker Live and Reloaded" to work on a x360 flashed with ixtreme 1.61. I was about halfway thru this recipe when I noticed that Vejz0rz had been unsuccessful.
So I was unsurprised when my faithful following of the recipe also met with a lack of success although I got an error message which flashed up after the xbox loading screen saying "This original Xbox game has encountered a problem and can't continue. For more information go to www.xbox.com/support
    X:5829.0 B:1884.0 "
My son has been hassling me about this game ever since his original xbox console died. The image I have is for Australia region and Europe region and I know I grabbed it a while back maybe a year or more certainly more than a couple of months, so the details of how I grabbed it have become hazy.
Does anyone know what the error means and if it can be corrected?

IN fact I just checked the unmulleted image and the error message is identical as if the process had made no difference.
I folllowed the steps religiously altho I did notice during step 9 (I was using 32 bit winXP) when I loaded the original image in isobuster before saving the isobusted mulleted image, that windows explorer reported the size of the 4 point something gig file as 13.5 MB. I found that interesting but have no idea if that filesize was derived from some arcane piece of iso wizardry and is correct.
That was the only point in the process where anything which appeared unusual to an optical image naif such as myself occurred.

@sicdude I appreciate the considerable effort you have gone to to clearly explain this complex process. Please don't take my lack of success as any implied criticism of your effort because it isn't intended to be.

I wish there was an easy way to fix this. My first burn of this game gave me that error code also (X:5829.0 B:1884.0), I think it was because I burned it onto a regular DVD-R, instead of a DVD+R DL. The DVD-R probably would have played fine in an Xbox 1.

That's what led me to follow this tutorial, and I made a few steps forward, since the game booted up. What sucks is it still got stuck on the loading screen. I searched on the Xbox Sky tracker forums and it seems a few other people have been having this same problem! I haven't got a for sure fix on it though.

I've encountered this same problem with trying to convert several xbox games that are uploaded to a certain site to 360 and some just don't work. I think it has to do with the xbe file maybe? the only time they seem to work is if u r ripping an original copy and converting this..but like I said, I've made many coasters and haven't gotten a straight answer on why xbox1 games don't work on 360 when following this tutorial

    I've tried 3 games:
    2006 FIFA World Cup
Prince of Persia Sands of Time
Prince of Persia The Two Thrones

I couldn't make them to play on my XBOX360 Elite, they all gave me the same error (X:5829 B:1884) even after using this method for writing them on DVD+R DL.

    Also:

    1. What's the difference between "Load ISO Folder" and "Load from file" for loading ISO?

    2. If I load ISO using "Load from file" I did wrong?

    3. In Step 12, what's the meaning of "your folder' in: "Step 12:click 'Yes' when prompted. In the next window load the ss.bin file from your folder and ..."
Do you mean the folder which I have the ss.bin file which you'd uploaded?
