Just a few thoughts about Paypal and their ATM card offer

If you're in the US you can get a paypal atm card
Which enables you to goto any atm machine world wide
And withdraw funds from your paypal account

In a way, paypal is like an online bank account
They might say they're not a banking service
But the funds you put in your paypal account
Have to be managed by paypal and their bank

So, basically they are holding onto your cash
untill such time that you ddecide to withdraw it

Now i have a paypal accont for years but i don't live in the us
Yet i can't avail of their atm card services

    That's a bitch aint it
So they are refusing me the right to take my money out of my paypal acount when i feel fit

Well you can withdraw it too your bank account when you go to paypal.

So really they are not refusing you your money.

I used to do that all the time when I was selling stuff.

I know i've done that many times myself, but it can take 5 to 7 days
That doesn't give you much choise to take your money when you need it.

So paypal are refusing me the right to take my money out using atm card which is instant transaction of my paypal funds.

It's not fair and it's not right,
Shouldn't the customers have the first say when it comes to what they can and can't do with their own money?

Please look at the logic of this situation, that's the only way i can look at it and it's very anoying when you consider the options available to the us.

If anybody feels as strongly as i do about this please reply to this topic.

They have the technology they just won't set it up.

paypal aren't a bank.. they are an online transaction handler like nochex and a few others. theres the difference. Obviously as they are not a bank they don't have the facilities to allow other banks to check your account credit (you can't go into the red with paypal.. they just won't pay out.. unlike most banks)

simple answer really.. you use their service to process online payments.. and you pay them.. they aren't a bank! You want to use atm's.. get a real bank account.. oh look.. you can't use your bank card in every atm without being charged by some.. and as for overseas.. hahahahahahahahaha 50% or more charge.

I wouldn't trust them as far as I could kick them honestly.. they suck and are expensive to boot.. I just use my small account with minimal funds and no overdraft facility for online purchases.
