Everytime I try to log into PayPal or my internet bank accout,after putting in my password I keep getting redirected to a site pretending to be paypal or my bank ,asking for personal financial info.,even my social security number. I have downloaded many ,many virus,spyware scans but have been unable to find the problem.I have been able to log in normally at times after several attempts,but at soon as the computer is restarted the problem happens again. I have suspended my bank account online temporarily. Also my delete key on my keyboard has stopped working. I am NOT very computer literate can you help????

Hi pooch1, Your HJT Log shows nothing. That doesn’t mean it’s clean! I suggest that you back up any important files, NOT the applications, and then reformat and reinstall and start afresh. There's no way of knowing exactly what harm has been done to your system, and also what may have been messed up. If security settings have been lowered, this will make your PC more likely to be re-infected in future. By simply cleaning your machine it can never be trusted. I'd also keep one eye on your bank accounts if you access them via this computer or shop online as malware does have the ability to harvest financial information and phone it home. 2OG
Hi pooch1. Sounds like vundo to me; both the redirection of pages and the sneaking back in no matter how many times you scan or are finally able to be normal. Yes, a format is most probably the best, as vundo can be a hard infection to fight. However, it is your choice. If you wish to fight, perhaps you could post here your hosts file. Go to C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc, and then open the hosts file in notepad. Post here the contents. Best Regards PS: I'm guessing you haven't scanned with a-squared free.
