PC and PS2 networking for sending games

hi guys, this is my first post here , so plz be helpful ......well, i am getting a ps2 network adaptor soon,......and when i asked around about setting up a network, people recommended hdl dump server........the guys tell me that i need to run the server on the pc, and send the game....but i have a few questions:

1) how do i find the ps2 IP, the subnet and the gateway ???

2)what do i need to have running on the ps2 at the same time ???

3) do i need need execftp, or is it optional ?

3) can someone show me a link to a *complete* guide, for setting up a link between my ps2 and pc, for sending games ?
