Atm i have just the basic PC Case, but i want to get a new one as its getting a bit cramped in there and a bit dusty and just over all looks boring. Just wanted to know is there anything i should take into account before moving all the stuff in my PC to a new case, because i dont wanna go messing anything up, it cost me £1600 so if i break ill be gutted. Thanks
moved. can use any case you want that accepts your motherboard but make certain motherboard power connector fits the psu connector or will need an adapter.
Get one that's big, has quiet fans (if it has some installed) and plenty of air flow, so room for fans rear side and ideally front. The more cooling the better, and don't buy cheap!
Here is a good place to start shopping: http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/Category.asp?Category=9 I bought a nice size tower with a 500 watt psu, 7 fans, 5 3.5" bays and 5 5.25" bays, plenty of space for extra lights, etc. see below: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811144004 Have fun and let us know what you decide.
Also, at the front of my PC i have all these Card reader and composites: Will i be able to put these in a new case, if so how?
Didn't see it, what happened? Yes you can usually move card readers to new cases as long as you remember (or better record) where it all plugged in. Afaik Newegg deliver to the US and canada, but not anywhere else.
sammorris, server might have hiccupped on Nicklt & he did a multi-post unintensionly so i deleted those posts.
wasnt a hick up it was me pressing back because i messed my post up and then pressed post again, and i did it 4 times. 100% my bad! lol thanks for saving my dignity though ddp you know what i did ))))
Which country are you in, and how much do you want to spend. Are you also looking at getting a new PSU?
@Bigdk, im from the UK and want to spend about £100-£120 on a new case, i dont really want a new PSU the one i have at the moment is ok, but if it doesnt fit in the new case or looks out of place i dont mind getting a new one. Any ideas of what would be some good ones? I have been looking at the thermaltake range and i like these two: http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Chassis/midtower/soprano/vb1000bws.asp http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Chassis/midtower/tsunami/bwa/bwa.asp But i dont know where i can get them from in the UK, i also want to get water cooling as i have problems with over heating, so i need one that is capable of taking water cooling which these two are i think. Im thinking about getting this water cooling. http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Liguid/DIY/cl-w0075/cl-w0075.asp and i have managed to find a shop in the UK that sells it which is good. Problem i will have i think is that i want a black case but my PSU is silver so i think it would look odd, does anyone know what PSU would fit nicely with the two above cases?
