pc changes to safe mode

    recently my pc has started to turn itself on to safe mode ,i get a message saying a program or something has failed, i cant remember exactly wat it says ,ill wait for the message again and ill let u know

    But in the mean time, try filemon.exe running in the background to see what program might be causing this failure.

    i cant find a file by the name of filemon.exe

    there we go just happened, lol ,ok the message is ,
    WINDOWS SYSTEM ERROR
    mmicrosoft windows detected and recovered from a devicr failure,
    please save your work and reboot to restore full functionality

    Device failure is just that, a device. What has changed in your system to start this problem, software, hardware change, etc.?

    i dont know ,as its been going on for about a week now
    how can i find out ,ive been into systems and there is no ?
    every thing seems to be working in there .ty vm

    You can try filemon.exe here:

    http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/filemon.shtml

    It's easy to use, just read up a bit on it. It will start a log in the background and when the machine pop's, once you reboot you should be able to go back to the log and see what the last software program running was.

    too complicated for me i think ,ill get some1 to look at that, ty.
