Pc crashes when using nero vision 4

    Im trying to convert wmv and avi clips to dvd.

    I've been using nero to do this for like 6 months but last week while encoding my PC shuts completly off and I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to start up again.

    I've also tried tmpg and convertxtodvd and got the exact sam results.....PC SHUT OFF

    I don't know much about pc's so any help at all will be GREATLY apreciated. Thankyou

    Some basic ideas:

    May be a hardware problem. Check your hardware with a diagnostics program. Also check your hard disk with chkdsk.

    If you made any change to the system before the problem started, try to undone it or use System Restore to restore to a point created before the problem started.
