recently my cd-rw quit working so i decided to replace with a dvd-burner. I disconected my old cd-rw and conected the new dvd-burner the exact same way, turned on expecting windows to detect, and nothing. It dont reconize its even there. Im running win xp and the new burner is a liteon SOHW-1633S. Anyone have any idea what might be wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

What are the jumper settings for the old drive and for the new drive?? Compare them and let us know. If you have two drives sharing the same cable to secondary EIDE typically one is master and the other is set to slave; or, you set them both to CSEL (Cable select). Let us know.
