Having been initially puzzled by similar problem, I guess that you may have got VOB files on your DVD which work in Media Player (and, I beleive) in a domestic DVD player but cannot be read by, say, Windows Movie Maker. The answer to that is that you need to rip off the DVD to produce WAV or MPEG files. I used the excellent guide on www.vcdhelp.com/sefy/?id=ClassicalGuide.html. Good luck!
thanks for your advice noddy,you would'nt know why it does'nt work on the stand alone also,they are VOB files i ripped,i did also burn mpeg2 but the only thing that i can view them on is the burner.could the DVD media be the problem bulkpaq dvd-r.thanks again
