Pc dvd's can read xbox games?

    After reading this tutorial on switching the xbox dvd drive for a brand new pc drive, i was left with the question, PC dvd drives can read xbox games? Blimey, i thought that pc dvd drives could only read the first layer of the game, thus playing the xbox movie when trying to be accessed. When i tried it with my LiteOn Dvd drive i got all the music and dvd movies to work, except for the bloody games.

    So was this guy for real?
