AGE OF EMPIRE I was wondering how can i run a pc game from a thumb drive since my netbook doesnt have a cd drive ??? I want to be able to put AGE OF EMPIRE on a thumb drive & play head to head with my co-worker. we both have Acer Aspire One netbooks. is it possbale to link 2 netbooks via usb cable or cat5 cable ???
im not looking to copy the game since i have the original cd. just wanna play it on my no-cd drive netbook.
Use magicISO to make a backup of the game to a *.iso file and then mount that .iso with deamon tools. Make sure all options are on in deamon tools (by right clicking the tray icon > emulation > all options ON; and under Options). Some games may or may not work with daemon tools so I can't help you there, and you may need a pretty big flash drive to hold the .iso. Or you could buy an external USB CD drive. I am not familiar with netbooks but I don't think they have enough power to run games. (Edit) After looking up the acer, I would highly recommend not playing any games on it, as the CPU and video look very under powered for that kind of task. But in case it can run AoE, then you would connect wirelessly through ad-hoc, a wireless access point, or with a crossover ethernet cable. The second option would be the easiest if available.
