    Hi,

I borrowed a cdr from a friend that had PC game on it which was made up from CUE/BIN files. The problem I'm having is that I can't make an exact copy of these cdr's. During normal installation, using my friends disc it prompts me for disc 2 during installation. But when I run my copied version it does not, therefore not installing the game. I used nero first but it gave me an error:Nero underrun, so I used Clone cd it seemed ok. Any ideas????
All I want to do is make a basic copy.

    Many thanks.

First, do not post threads named 'PC Games Help', please. Which added value does this give to the reader? Try 'How to backup of xxxxx game?'. This would be clearer.

A guess (since you did not post the name of the CD): CD is surely protected. Therefore: if you use the original one it runs CD-check, then asking for the original 2nd disc during installation (due to the protection scheme).
The backup copy is surely BAD (.BIN/.CUE format does not even bypass the basic protection schemes such as safedisc or laserlock) and therefore it will not run.

Try using Alcohol120%, using Datatype=Protected CD in the main setting of image creating wizard and subsequent image burning. This might bypass safedisc/laserlock protections. Probably you'll not be able to bypass the CD Check protection scheme (you need a No-CD patch - do not ask for it and/or how to use it here).
