I have been playing games such as Battlefield 1942 and Call of Duty 4. Whenever, I play these games, at one point, the game just freezes for a few seconds then the monitor just turns completely off with only the red LED light on. Several months ago, this problem did not occur. Here are my PC spec:

CPU: Intel Pentium D 3.4 GHZ
    Sound: Sound Max
    RAM: 2.00 GB
    Hard Drive: 150 GB
Video Card: ATI X1950 PRO 512MB AGP 8X
    OS: Windows XP Home

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Thanks!

try another monitor to see if does same thing or not but have an idea it is your videocard that is causing the problem.

I think its my video card problem. But, how do you actually check or test your video card? Is there some kind of program that does this? Thanks!

qaplus was 1 of the programs i use to use in dos. i think memtest is just for main motherboard ram not videocard testing. type in "free computer diagnostic software" in your search engine.
