Hoping computer savy person can assist. Computer specs are:
    AMD 1.7 fsb 400
    ASUS A7N8X Deluxe motherboard
    NVIDA NForce 2
    2 Elixir 256 DDR 400 MHZ-cl3 PC 3200

Already replaced CPU fan/heat (thought this was problem due to system running warm but not hot) recommended fix by all boards I read.
Still locking up--I am thinking something not set right in BIOS.

Post shows all RAM but frequency running at 100Mhz. When I go into BIO and attempt to change frequency to 200Mhz, system does not boot.
    Any recommendations would be appreciated....

Try staying within 100mhz-150mhz.Reset bios defauts or clear CMOS by shorting it out with a jumper or removing the battery. That's what I would try.

your motherboard could also be memory picky depending on the brand.
