So im thinking of witching to a power book so that I can edit with final cut. I would love to start editing on a Mac but what about all my other stuff? I use programs like DVD Santa, DVD s copy, TMPGEnc DVD Author and now ratDVD all the time now, what am I ever going to do on with a Mac! I also have to give up msn 7 and that's a real bummer. I still have my pc but my parents are trying to get me off it and let me slow down my own computer. I don't know... maybe a G4 will make my bittorent live allot better. Has anyone ells switched like this before?

Give it 1-2 years and you should be able to dual boot on your Intel powered Apple notebook.

DVDSanta, RatDVD, etc. rely heavily on directshow which simply doesn't exist outside of windows. Guess you might be able to get them running under some WINE type environment.

stick with real computers. Final Cut really isn't that impressive. If you want to get into editing, give Avid a look.
