My current power supply is a 250W. Its a emachines case t1742. I replaced everything in the system except the power supply, and i think its overdue for one since i added a graphics card, sound card, dvd burner, and soon to add a firewire card and a video capture card. Its a MicroATX case, so my question is, are all power supplies the same size and do i need to go by the MircroATX or does that not matter?

most psus are a standard size except for some name brands like emachines. get the dimensions of your psu including scremounting holes that hold the psu into the case & compare with the psu you are looking to get. might have to get a new tower instead if can't find a psu to fit your case
