Run System File Checker and see if that helps.

Go to Start > Run > type "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes). Have your Windows CD handy as it will ask for it.

After you get that virus taken care of, you really need to run System File Checker.

Did you get any CDs at all with the system? A restore disc perhaps?

Did you try the manufacture's web site to see if a recovery disk is available for download?

Who is the manufacture? Model number?

    What is the operating system?

How old is the computer? Is it still under warrenty?

As you've learned, never buy a computer without recovery software!

If everything is really bugging you there is allays the possiblity of reinstalling the system but that would bassicly set you're computer back to 0.DiD you try defraging you're system?to defrag go to start programs then accesories and the system tools and you will find the defragementator.

Why can't you get rid of the trojan ,what's stopping you?
here is some help to get rid af the virus http://www.spywareguide.com/product_show.php?id=1039

I ran my avg free adition and it took care of that worm and some others. nut I still cant click on the icons like I use to. I need another computer. So what I will do is delete everything and copy everything from my new computer into my old computer.

There is non need to get a new computer simply copy all the information on you're computer to something(external hard drive...)and reinstall the system.
