    Ok, quick question.

Can a standard PC power supply run an xbox, or would it not work.

Ok, well I looked around, and have not found any definite conclusions on whether or not it will work. Does anyone know?

most mobos will run off 5v and/or 12v powers. So in that sense yeah it would work, but not without a few mods. Mainly you would have to find out what needs what powers, and then mod the PSU to the point where you can distribute the right power to the right place.

Ya I was looking, and the main power cord will go into the xbox mobo, but the wires are in different places, so I wasn't sure if it would mess something up if I plugged it in a turned it on.

good idea is to use a multimeter....don't just go by the colors.

Ok, I wasn't sure if I could just switch the wires, because I haven't been working with wiring for very long. I'll get a multimeter and see what I can do :)
