    Hi,

I have a very old Daewoo PC that has taken to starting up of it's own accord usually in the middle of the night.

This must be down to a BIOS setting as this has happened since rebuild etc and this time it's not even connected to the internet so that can't be blamed!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Nick

Same time every night this happens or what?

Go through and check your BIOS settings.
    Hire Ghost Busters.

    Hmmm thanks for that.

I have checked the BIOS settings and can't see any reason!

This has occurred at 2 separate homes so hopefully that rules out ghosts (shit, unless of course they have it in for me). Not sure about when it exactly goes on but can check event log to find out!

    HELP!!!!!

It could be a couple of things. The cheapest thing you could do is swap the CMOS battery and see what happens. They're cheap or if you have another computer lying around, take the battery out of it. You said it's very old and the battery's do start to fail after a while.
