is there anyway that i can connect my cpu to tv i have the graphic card w/s-video out and i have analog tv how to i dunno please help
You'll need to make sure you have all the cables to make the connection. You'll need an s-video cable and a regular cable for cable tv. It will probably come with the RF Modulator. If you have the video installed with the manufacturer driver and software. All you need to do it go to the display settings and activate the secondary display. Everything has to be plugged in before you do this. Actually it is best if you have everything plugged in before you start you computer. I had a video card that would only pick up the tv if it was plugged in when I started up the computer but that was a pretty old computer. I never hurts to do it anyway though.
If you use windows you go to display settings. Usually you just right click anywhere on the desktop and select properties (Vista is personalize) to get into the display settings. Click on the monitor or display tap. You should two display screens or monitor options. Click on the one that says two and check the box that says extend windows onto this display (something along those lines anyway). After that it's picking personal settings for how the display looks and operates.
Thankyou man i did but when i click apply and ok it jump back to unchecked on my second monitor why is that (is it coz of not hooked my wires to tv) please help
You video card may work like mine because it does that exact same things. The problem was that my video card didn't support output on both the regular computer screen and the tv at the same time. If that is the case what you need to do is go into the display settings again and select display one and there should be a way on one of the tabs to switch between VGA and tv output as the main monitor. What video card do you have? (manufacturer and model)
I personally like the nvidia video cards. They have really nice easy to use software to go with them too. I don't think displaying both should be a problem with your video card. I didn't find anything on the nvidia site to indicate that that should be a problem. The only things I can think of are check and make sure all the cables are plugged in properly. Check the ends of the cords and make sure they aren't bent or discoloured. I've heard of people having issues with s-video cords. Update the driver and software from the nvidia site Do you have more than one video card on your computer? (the geforce and maybe an onboard one) You could try unplugging your monitor and plug in the tv to see if that works. The video card should automatically pickup that the only thing plugged in is the tv.
