I'd like to connect my PC to my HDTV via the HDMI port. My main question is a general one... It appears you can't get a VGA to HDMI adapter. But you can get a VGA to DVI adapter and a DVI to HDMI adapter. Would this work? Or do I need something more complicated, like a signal converter or something like that? Or am I missing something even more basic? Any advice appreciated.
Most current video cards will have a DVI port so there's no need to go through a VGA to DVI conversion step. All you need is a DVI to HDMI cable like this: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...cs_id=1023102&p_id=2218&seq=1&format=2&style=
Now doea anyone know what the difference is what is the best solution for a PCI DVI card to HDMI. I bought a DVi-D to HDMI cable, it seems to work on the Phillips LCD. Although confusingly it allows resolutions higher than specified. There seems to be some interference, although this happens at all resolutions. Just wandering if i should have got the DVI-A version... any clues...
