hi guys i am new to these forums and have been directed to them from all forums. my problem is that i cannot get my pc to play on my hdtv using a dvi to hdmi cable. these are my hardware:

    pc. 1meg of ram
    graphics card.NVIDIA® GeForce® 7500L
tv. hitatchi p50t01u 50" hd plasma tv
problem. i get the bios screen when the pc is starting up on both my monitor and tv and even the windows loading screen but as soon as vista starts up the tv screen goes blank and says no signal received. funnily enough when i run my pc in safe mode the desktop is displayed on both my tv and monitor.
what am i doing wrong and how can i solve the problem? and just to add i am ok technically on computers but anything too complex could you please try and explain a bit....sorry!
    thanks in advance
    sean

first off you need more ram, 1 Meg of ram is not enough lol
imma assume you ment 1 gig of ram, also 1 gig is kinda low to especially for vista. im thinking you might not have the right display settings for the TV, and another thing would be in your desktop properties the TV may not be attached to your primary.

thats all i can think of ^^

you want the hdtv as monitor #2 right, so in your display properties, then go to settings, right click the #2 monitor and make sure the attached option is checked,

(sadly if i was at home i could make a Screen shot but at the moment im at work)

The BIOS and loading screen are a different resolution (as is Safe Mode for me on XP) than your normal Desktop. I would assume that you have to match whatever your Hitachi is expecting. What resolution are you set at?

If so why don't you try the D-Sub PC input?
