Pc To Mac

Ok im getting an imac, and i need to know if mac will read an external ntfs formatted drive, thats how im gonna transfer my files from my pc to my imac, anyone can let me know it would be of great help, thanks

 

yes they will read ntfs but you will not be able to put a file on the drive from the mac as it is read only so if you want to be able to write to it you wll have to do a reformat

but as far as just transfering files your fine
