I have 2 such converters. A grandtec GEZ1000 and a generic. The differences are noticeable. The generic has a menu that allows the video format to be selected among many from NTSC to PAL to SECAM. The screen picture reflects the selection. The NTSC selection is not the best. The sharpness leaves a lot to be desired.

The GEZ on the other hand has no such selection and no video format that it is compatible with is not mentioned in the manual. Does this mean that the GEZ is set to AUTO detect for the video system in use? Is it used with NTSC only? My NCH screen capture app has the same system selection. Again quality reflects selection. The GEZ produces a better picture. Neither supports audio. I use the desktops line out plus line level preamp(driver) to feed the TVs line in. Without the preamp the volume is too low. Just curious about the GEZ.
