Hello I was just wondering if my dell 4700 with 6800 video card can be hooked up with my Sony Wega. heres the description:
Enjoy incredible image accuracy and wide viewing angles with Sony's new KV-27FS120 27-inch FD Trinitron& WEGA& TV. FD Trinitron® WEGA Flat Screen Technology is the basis of Sony's award winning line of visually flat televisions and the KV-27FS120 will not disappoint. Among its many features, ClearEdge VM™ Wideband Velocity Modulation doubles the Velocity Modulation capacity, creating sharper edges and better depth. The KV-27FS120 also features Digital Comb Filter, 16:9 Enhanced Mode (V-Compression), a Component Video (Y,PB,PR) Input, Dynamic Focus™ Circuitry, Dynamic Picture™ Processor Circuitry, and Magnetic Quadra Pole to ensure it delivers incredible image accuracy, outstanding contrast and corner-to-corner detail. V Chip Parental Control, Speed Surf™ Channel Selection, SRS& 3D Audio Effect, Caption Vision (CC), Energy Star& Compliance, Favorite Channel, On Screen Display - (English, Spanish, French), and Program Palette™ Presets make this the ideal 27" television.

Is there an s-video output on your card? That would be the easiest option to hook the two together. If you want sound to your tv you would need an adapter to run from your sound cards output to the audio input to your tv. Once you have them all connected, right click your desktop>>properties>>settings>>advanced. From there you should be able to enable your tv. If it gives you a dual monitor option select that so you have the images on both your monitor and tv. Depending on your card (Nvidia or Ati) you may have to make a few adjustments to may the screen viewable on your tv. Also make sure your screen resolution is 1024x768 or less. Usually 800x600 is the best. Also make sure you have the most updated graphics driver installed. Hope this helps.
