I have a WestingHouse 27" TV. I have a Saphire Radeon 9250 Video card (256mb). I am trying to set up my computer to disply an my new TV. What i have is the VGA wire hooked directly into the tv and the computer. The only resolution i can get the picture in the entire screen is 600x800. This is WAY!!! to big for me. I would like to use 1200x1600 or something along those lines. Does anyone know of a driver to download or some software that would allow me to be able to do this? Any help is greatly appreciated.. and if you dont know of any way to help just tell me so I dont think that noone has looked at this thread.. thanks

well do you have the connection going from you computer vga to vga into your tv?. or are you using an adapter .like vga to rca?. cuz the max resolution on that tv is 1280 x 720 . the only thing i could think of is try reinstalling your video drivers (only if you are using vga to vga ) otherwize theres no drivers you can get. computers wont reconize your tv threw any other connection other than vga, so it sets your tv as default n thats why your resolution is so high.

I have the VGA cable hooked from my video card into the VGA input on my TV.. there is no RCA cable it is just like plugging a monitor into a computer. I reinstalled the drivers like you said.. that helps, but everytime i restart my computer the picture is half ontop and half on the bottom.. so basically I have to reset my specs everytime.. Is there a way to fix that? It is weird and very irritating to have to fix it everytime. Thank you for your help though..any more is greatly appreciated

the only thing i can think of that would cause you to have to reset your settings everytime would be maybe you have the wrong drivers..did you download them or take em off a disc?..but either way ..try updating your video card drivers to the latest ones..that might help ..another ? ..is your video card pci or agp ?
