I am planning to build a home theatre PC. I am subsribed to a Digital Terrestrial Subscriber and I have their own decoder that accepts a smart card for scrambled channels.

Is there a PC card that enables me to watch both free to air digital terrestrial channels and scrambled ones? Therefore I need a card that accepts a smart card.

    Thanks

The only one I know of is the Nebula DigiTV and not knowing where you are located as I am in the U.K. so I suggest you have a look a this link and contact them to see if the card is suitable for your needs.

    Thanks for the reply,
I live in Malta and we have digital terrestrial TV. I will check also with the DTV broadcaster. I was thinking that if I do not manage to get this type of PCI card, then I will use a TV tuner card that has an S-VIDEO in and use their DTV decoder.

I do not know however whether I would be able to use timeshifting etc. with this solution.

    Thanks
